How Our Custom Wedding Dress Process Works
1. Your private bridal consultation
Your first wedding dress consultation lasts approximately 90 minutes at our Jukskei Park studio.
You can try sample gowns to explore different silhouettes, discuss fabrics and inspiration, have professional measurements taken and begin developing the design with our lead designer.
2. Your design and quotation
After your consultation, we prepare a detailed quotation based on the agreed design, fabrics and construction requirements.
Typical Bridal Alchemy custom wedding gowns currently range from approximately R12,500 to R30,000+, depending on fabric, detail and complexity. Flexible staged payments are available.
3. Your gown is created
Your wedding dress is produced specifically for you rather than ordered as a finished standard-size gown.
Most custom gowns take approximately 8–16 weeks, depending on the design and fabric availability. Rush options may sometimes be possible for brides with shorter timelines.
4. Fittings and fine adjustments
As the gown progresses, fittings allow us to refine the fit before final collection.
Bridal Alchemy includes up to three rounds of fine-tuning alterations for wedding dresses purchased from us.
